ApplicationIn the study, dimethylaminoethyl acrylate was used as the solvent, and the hydrolytic stability of poly(2-dimethylamino)ethy l methacrylate was investigated and compared with the Chemicalbook hydrolytic stability of the monomer. This result is attributed to the coordination of the protonated dimethylamin e group and the ester carbonyl group, making the ester more susceptible to nucleophilic attack by hydroxyl ions.
