International Mr. Rubber goes to Skokie  - Windy City Times

Many festivities for Mister International Rubber 28 took place for the second year in a row in Skokie at the Doubletree Hotel, 9599 Skokie Blvd., from Oct. 17-20, while the contest took place next door at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, 9501 Skokie Blvd.

This year’s theme was “Rubber Runway,” and the Rubber Market drew an even larger crowd of shoppers this year. This year’s edition also marked the first year that MIR is completely gender inclusive. AJ Huff, MIR 27, gave his step-down speech at the opening ceremonies on Oct. 18, which also included the introduction of the seven competing contestants and the judges panel. This year Rush won the title of International Rubber Ambassador, while First Runner Up was Delsi Cat and the Second Runner Up was Banjo.
