One person was taken to the hospital Monday night after a chemical spill at a water treatment plant in Cleves.
According to a release from Cleves Mayor Chuck Birkholtz, a chlorine spill occurred at a water treatment plant on Kilby Avenue Monday evening.
The plant was evacuated after the spill and a hazardous materials response team responded to assess the situation.
According to city officials, a team member at the treatment plant was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after the spill.
Cleves Water Works said there is no immediate risk to the water supply as a result of the chlorine spill.
