Construction worker killed, another injured after fall at Virginia Tech

One person was killed and another injured as a result of a fall on Virginia Tech's Blacksburg campus Wednesday.
According to VT, a construction worker died around 11 a.m. November 6 after a fall at the wind tunnel renovation project adjacent to the former Randolph Hall. Another construction worker was injured.

The two workers are not university employees, as campus construction sites are under the control of the contractor.
VT said the incident is under investigation. No names have been released at this time.
"Virginia Tech extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased worker," the university wrote in a statement.
