JACKSON COUNTY, MI – The timing of a township construction project makes dropping off a ballot ahead of the Nov. 5 election a bit more challenging, but not impossible.
The Michigan Bureau of Elections, a branch of the Michigan Department of State, contacted the township Monday, Oct. 21, after receiving complaints about the inaccessibility of drop boxes at the township hall, Leoni Township Clerk Cindy Norris said.
